Audio Spoofing Options

Kameleo allows you to control how your browser profile reports its Web Audio API fingerprint. Audio fingerprinting is another technique websites use to identify devices, so keeping this value consistent across profiles is important. To modify this, simply:

  1. Click on the "Advanced Settings" option which you can find during the profile creation or profile editing phase as outlined below:

  2. Under the "Device" section, you will find "Audio" the sub-section.

  3. Here there are only three options: (Off, Noise and Block). Whichever you select, simply click on the Save button afterwards.

Audio Spoofing Options

  • Off: Keeps your real audio fingerprint. Use this if you don’t want any modification or need consistency across sessions.
  • Block: Completely disables the Web Audio API. Use this if you need strict blocking, but some sites may find it suspicious.
  • Noise: Alters the audio fingerprint per profile. Use this if your goal is preventing linkability between multiple profiles, but it’s not mandatory; it depends on your privacy needs.

You can set default Audio spoofing options for all new profiles in the Settings from the left menu.
