Screen Spoofing Options

Screen size is an important part of your browser fingerprint. Kameleo allows you to control how the reported screen resolution behaves in your Browser Profiles to prevent detection with screen size fingerprinting. To change the setting simply:

  1. Click on the "Advanced Settings" option which you can find during the profile creation or profile editing phase as outlined below:

  2. Under the "Device" section, you will find "Screen Resolution" the sub-section.

  3. Now if you want to select the resolution yourself, simply click on "Manual" button under "Screen Resolution", and then click on the the above outlined dropdown menu and select a resolution that fits your purpose.

  4. The field will be filled by your selected option, where you can proceed by clicking the Save button.

Screen Spoofing Options

  • Automatic (Recommended): Kameleo sets the screen size based on the selected Fingerprint. This ensures consistency across the entire fingerprint.
  • Manual: Allows you to select a resolution from a list. Note: Choosing a resolution that doesn’t match the rest of the fingerprint may cause inconsistencies.
  • Off: Disables spoofing. Websites will see your actual physical screen resolution.

Selecting a screen resolution does not alter your actual display or browser window. It only spoofs the reported values that websites receive.

You can set default Screen Resolution spoofing options for all new profiles in the Settings from the left menu.
