What traces does Kameleo leave? Is the data online or offline?

Since Kameleo is an online privacy tool we are taking privacy very seriously. In this article, we assure you that your safety is our highest priority.

Where are profiles stored?

  • Local Profiles: Profiles are primarily saved in the Workspace folder on your machine. You can also export them as .kameleo files.
  • Cloud Profiles: Cloud profiles are stored on our servers, but this does not affect your privacy. All sensitive data remains protected.

Where does my internet traffic go?

Your traffic flows directly from your computer, just like in a regular browser. Kameleo’s spoofing mechanisms run locally, and your traffic is never monitored or intercepted.

What does Kameleo communicate through it's servers?

Kameleo does not send sensitive data from your computer. It only communicates for:

  • Checking your subscription
  • Receiving news and updates
  • Downloading fingerprints
  • Reporting bugs and errors

No traces of your activity are left behind while using Kameleo.
