Recommended Settings
This guide shows you how to set up a good browser fingerprint and configure Kameleo for optimal results. Following these recommendations will help you achieve strong anonymity scores on detection sites like Whoer.net
General Fingerprint Principles
A good browser fingerprint should:
- Be consistent - All settings should match logically (language, timezone, location)
- Use up-to-date browsers - Outdated browser versions can be suspicious, so make sure to utilize the "Upgrade" button as new Kernel versions get released.
- Match your proxy location - Your fingerprint's location settings should align with your IP address
- Remain stable - Reuse the same profile and proxy combination when possible
Kameleo handles most fingerprint parameters automatically. The key is configuring the profile settings to suit your browsing needs.
Language
Select the language that matches your target region. For example, if you're targeting the United Kingdom, choose English (United Kingdom), as showed on the image below:

Important: If you are using a proxy, make sure your profile's language matches your proxy's country.
OS & Browser
For desktop profiles, you can choose from Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari. This selection determines the browser fingerprint that websites will see when you browse. Kameleo prioritizes the latest browser versions to help your profiles blend in naturally.
While not strictly critical, it’s generally a good idea to match your profile’s operating system with the Operating System of your device. For example:
- On Windows 10/11, using a Windows-based profile is usually a better choice.
- On macOS, a macOS-based profile is recommended.
Advanced Settings
By default, Kameleo applies recommended settings. If you want more control, here are the outlined steps:
Click on the "Advanced Settings" option which you can find during the profile creation or profile editing phase as outlined below:

Under the "Device" section, you will find most of the settings which can be edited to alter the fingerprint, such as Canvas, WebbGL, Audio, Hardware Concurreny, etc.

- In the "Device" section feel free to experiment with different options, as we understand that various users have various needs pertaining to their use of Kameleo.
Next up, In the "Location" section we have the Timezone, Geolocation, and WebRTC should be left on Automatic. This sets the best values based on your proxy's IP address. You can change them manually if needed.

Proxy Tips
To get the best results and avoid unnecessary flags or verification checks, keep these proxy rules in mind:
Match the proxy country with the fingerprint language.
Example: If you've changed the profile language to French , use a French proxy. If it’s Spanish, use a Spanish proxy, and so on. This keeps your IP address and browser fingerprint aligned, which is one of the most important factors for trust and consistency.
Never use the same proxy for two different profiles.
Sharing the same IP across multiple profiles can create obvious patterns for websites and increases the risk of linking those accounts together.
For a single profile, stick to the same proxy over time.
Ideally, always use the same proxy. If you can’t, at least choose proxies from the same region so your IP location doesn’t jump around unnaturally between sessions.
Use of Residential proxies.
Residential proxies are a great choice because they route your traffic through real household internet connections. This makes your activity appear far more natural to websites compared to datacenter proxies, which can often get flagged or rate-limited.
Warning: We highly recommend that you do not switch proxies mid session. Meaning, whilst your profile is running, you shouldn't swap to a different proxy. Stop the profile first, and then switch.
