Why do I have to pay VAT?

As an EU-based company, we have to charge a different VAT rate depending on where you are located within the EU. This is a tax that European countries require every company to pay on goods or services sold within their borders. The rates vary from 17-27% across all the countries. However, there are several exceptions when we do not charge VAT during the checkout:
- If you're a business customer with an EU VAT number,
- If you're a business customer outside the EU,
- If you're an individual customer outside the EU
